Background:  

In recent years, China’s dependence on foreign oil has been high. With the continuous increase of automobiles, the automotive industry’s energy saving pressure has been high and the fuel consumption management is becoming more and stricter. The National Stage- Ⅳ fuel consumption regulation for passenger vehicles has been formally implemented. The national stage-III fuel consumption regulation for heavy commercial vehicles and light commercial vehicles has also been introduced and the relevant management policies will be constantly issued. At the same time, the frequent largescale haze weather in China and the air pollution has become a key issue of
people’s livelihood; the automobile emission control has become the focus of the industry. The national stage-V emission standard has been implemented by phases, regions, and vehicle types in advance. The national stage- Ⅵ standard will also been issued soon. Facing the fierce situation of energysaving and emission reduction, to increase research and development and application of energy saving and emission control technologies have become the key issues attracting the common concerns of the industry.

Discussion Focus:

This section includes the systematic review of energy saving and the progress of emission regulation upgrading. It will focus on the development of potential technology solutions for enterprises to develop energy saving, emission control technology, providing the programs for technical upgrading for selection.
