The main tasks of Chinese automotive industry during the "12th Five-Year-Plan" period are: to conduct independent innovation, to build up own brands, to speed up the development of fuel-efficient vehicles and new energy vehicles, to optimize the industrial structure and to develop new technologies so as to improve the competitiveness of the industry and keep the sustainable development of the industry.
